My name is Kathy Dane. I am currently enrolled as a graduate student intern at Lubbock Christian University. I am seeking a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have an expected graduation date of December 2024. My professional journey has been shaped by a background in trauma and school nursing. I have also volunteered as a parent in Lubbock ISD and as an advocate with CASA. These experiences have been the driving force behind my entry into the field of counseling.

I grew up in New Mexico but have spent the last 30 years in Lubbock. I have been married for 35 years and have three adult children with my husband. My personal interests include sewing, quilting, cooking and dogs. I love spending time with my family and you might find me racing RC's or cooking a meal together with them. My Labrador Retrievers are also a big part of my life and are constantly at my side. I am currently working to train one to be a therapy dog.

I will be serving child clients at the Playroom Lubbock under the clinical supervision of Kelly Martin, MEd, LPC-S, RPT-S. I am excited to be learning from Kelly and look forward to pairing my experience and education in your child’s journey.
