Hi there! I am Katy McAlpine.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated from Texas Tech in 2015 with my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and again in May of 2019 with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My desire as a professional counselor is to help my clients work through life issues or difficulties in ways that work best for them by holding emotional space for them to feel heard. I have experience working with adolescents and young adults and in areas including depression, anxiety, decision making, eating disorders and disordered eating, and family and life transitions. I work from the approaches of client-centered therapy and solution focused therapy.

I believe that our childhood years should be full of adventurous learning and growth through curiosity. However, life events can happen to us that are out of our control which can compromise our mental health and we need help working through confusing emotions. My desire through counseling is to be able to walk alongside my clients in helping them work through difficult issues with the goal of obtaining mental and emotional wellbeing.

I am accepting clients ages 10 and up and specializing in working with preteens, teenagers, and young adults.
